It is an art form to be practiced and perfected daily, as well as a moving meditation, requiring concentration and precision. This mind-body connection is what separates Pilates from other exercise regimes and provides results that transform individuals physically, mentally and emotionally.
While there is an emphasis on strengthening “the core” and creating long, lean muscles, Pilates exercises are designed to redirect HOW we move, and from which muscles we move. It is often a subtle shift in awareness, one that requires focus and dedication to master. But it is this awareness that transfers from the studio to all movement within our daily lives, and transforms and inspires students of all ages and fitness levels.
Mat
Our mat classes focus not only on the core principles of Joseph Pilates, but also on flexibility and the joy of movement. No two classes are ever the same and every class is customized for the active participants!
Tower
Tower Classes utilize the springs, a push through bar, and your own body weight as resistance to stretch and challenge your Pilates practice. Circuit Class
Open to students with previous experience in the Pilates apparatus, this Beginner/Intermediate level class provides a challenging “circuit training” workout utilizing the Reformer, Mat, Tower, and Wunda Chair. Students will learn equipment settings and proper transitions for optimal flow between exercises. The class is limited to three students.
Circuit/TRX
This challenging class is led by two instructors and is limited to six students (divided into two groups). Students receive Intermediate-level Reformer training for half the class and then switch to “Pilates Suspend,” a core-strengthening workout utilizing TRX straps.
Pilates Suspend
Unique to Pilates Love Studio, this total body workout combines classical Pilates with challenging TRX exercises. The TRX tension straps provide ideal resistance for engaging core muscles and strengthening, toning, and stretching arm and leg muscles.
Private Sessions
Looking for a quiet sanctuary from your typical gym? Our private sessions are perfect for the individual looking for a workout tailored just for them in a serene setting. Our one-on-one sessions ensure you get just that and more. Our quality instructors design each session to challenge you with your goals and body in mind. Semi-Private Sessions
Whether as a duet or trio, a semi-private session is ideal for students with similar levels of Pilates study, who want to experience the “energy” and rhythm of a class, but with more individualized instruction. Rotating among Towers, Reformers, Wunda Chairs, and Mat, students receive the benefits of the Pilates equipment through a varied and diverse workout.
Small Group Sessions ~
Designed to accommodate groups of four or more students, these sessions are ideal for friends or co-workers who want to form a “mini class” tailored just for their needs. Whether to accommodate busy schedules or to receive a specific level of instruction on Tower or Mat, these sessions offer personalized instruction, flexibility, and sessions offer personalized instruction, flexibility, and fun.
Yamuna Body Rolling™ Workshops
Created by former yoga teacher, Yamuna Zake, the Yamuna Body Rolling method utilizes dense balls of varying sizes to roll muscles from origin to insertion, providing a workout and deep body massage combined into one. Appropriate for all students, YBR complements Pilates, and other athletic pursuits by reducing stress and muscle tension, increasing flexibility and range of motion, and creating positive changes within the body.
