mEET THE TEAM

Elle Jardim​

Co-founder of the Center for Movement. Elle's journey began as a young dancer, and in 1996, she became a certified Pilates instructor under Romana Kryzanowska. Her expertise grew with training from Pilates icons like Bob Liekens and others. She's also certified in Gyrotonic and Gyrokinesis methods. Elle holds fine arts and exercise physiology degrees, enriching her holistic teaching approach. Recognized as a sought-after instructor, she introduced Pilates to Westchester County students, earning praise in media outlets, including Westchester Magazine and New York Magazine.

Anneliese Burns Wilson​

As the wellness education director for five independent living communities in Texas, she created and implemented programs to maintain and enhance their active lifestyles by focusing on improved balance and bone density. Currently, Anneliese is developing education programming for clinical Pilates in NYC, helping medical professionals to incorporate Pilates and somatic movement in their practices. Anneliese’s certifications include Comprehensive Pilates Certification, Pink Ribbon Pilates, Buff Bones, Pilates for Neurological Conditions, Pilates for Menopause, The Centre Method for Diastasis Recti Recovery, Pre and Post Natal Exercise Specialist, Pelvic Floor Health, Muscle Activation Technique, Injuries and Special Populations, Fascial Fitness, Hypopressive Training, Dynamic Taping and other somatic movement practices.

Debi Weiss

With over twenty years of combined experience as a certified Pilates instructor and personal trainer, Debi brings a wealth of knowledge about anatomy, physiology, and movement to her students. She completed the advanced training program at Power Pilates for teachers previously certified and is qualified to work with students of all levels utilizing all the equipment and mat. In addition to her numerous accreditations, Debi is also certified in Yamuna Body Rolling, a wonderful enhancer of Pilates that helps align and free restrictions within the body.

Jennifer Johnson

Jennifer comes to Pilates with a background in the healing and performing arts. She was a dance major at Skidmore College and trained for two years at the Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance in NYC. Her passion for movement and the human body led her to become a licensed massage therapist in NYC. She later studied and practiced equine sports massage for five years. She holds teacher certifications in Hatha and Anti-Gravity yoga, in addition to comprehensive Pilates certification and continuing ed courses in lumbopelvic stability, muscle slings, Franklin Method, Reiki, neuromuscular and orthopedic massage. She performed as a singer for twenty years and has been teaching voice locally for the past ten years with a focus on posture and healthy, efficient coordination of the mixed voice. She is passionate about helping people find ease and efficiency within movement and feel better in their bodies.

Kathleen Connolly

Kathleen Connolly is from New York where she trained as a dancer. She studied as a double major and received her Bachelor of Arts in Drama- Theatre and Dance/ Mass Communications from Queens College (CUNY). Kathleen received her Master of Arts at Teachers College, Columbia University in Dance & Dance Education. She trained at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Center, Martha Graham School for Contemporary Dance, Steps on Broadway and Broadway Dance Center. She was selected to join the prestigious Modern Jazz (Contemporary) program at Jacobs Pillow in Becket, MA and shortly after, served as the School Administrator at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Center. She has performed in videos and has appeared on television (MTV). Kathleen is on faculty at the Somerset County Vocational and Technical High School, where she teaches Ballet, Anatomy for Dancers, and initiated the certification program for Mat Pilates to graduating seniors. Kathleen is a dance professor at Raritan Valley Community College, where she teaches Ballet and Pilates. She is certified STOTT Pilates instructor in Mat, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair & Barrels. She has trained numerous athletes and dancers and is grateful to be part of Pilates Love in Bernardsville.

Olena Kelly

Olena Kelly was born in Ukraine and moved to the U.S. at the age of 16 on an academic scholarship. Sports, fitness, movement, and healthy living have been significant parts of her life. She holds a Classic Pilates Mat Certification through Core Pilates in NYC, a Tower Pilates certification through Pilates Love in Bernardsville, NJ, and a 200-RYT Yoga Alliance certification through the American Yoga Academy in Summit, NJ. Additionally, she is an Integrative Nutrition Health and Wellness Coach, having completed a 12-month program at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition in New York.
As a lifelong fitness enthusiast, Olena appreciates that the Pilates discipline can be adapted to different bodies and fitness levels, making it an ideal fitness method regardless of where one is in life. Her focus during classes is to guide students through challenging workouts while maintaining proper alignment and increasing awareness of their bodies through breathing. The mind-body connection learned through Pilates can be translated into everyday life, leading to increased health, well-being, and vitality.
